Your family’s privacy matters.

This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. It does not collect payments or student records.

Exploring McGilvra

If you save your interest, the PTA receives your email address, enrollment timing, children’s proposed entry grades, neighborhood/School Choice situation, and contact preference. We do not ask for children’s names, birth dates, or exact addresses. Your contact choice is optional. This first version saves the information privately; it does not send email or subscribe you to an external mailing service.

Sharing an alumni story

Answers and selected photos stay in your browser until you review the preview, confirm permission, and submit. Closing or reloading an unfinished form loses that draft. Submitted stories, photos, contact email and permission records go to a private PTA review queue.

The PTA reviews stories before publication. Approved names, stories, school history, optional life years/location, and credited photos can appear publicly. Contact emails and permission records are never part of the public profile. Publication permission is non-exclusive; contributors retain ownership. An adult must have authority to submit material on another person’s behalf, including a child.

Storage and access

Private submissions are stored separately from the website’s public Sanity content, in a protected database hosted by Render. Access to the review queue requires an approved Sanity reviewer account. Unreviewed photos are protected and their metadata is removed before storage. The form service limits uploads and temporarily uses hashed technical request information to reduce abuse.

The website host receives ordinary technical request information needed to serve the site. The Studio editor requires a separate authenticated account. The public content editor is not a place to store family contacts, student records, donor information or private submissions.

Corrections and removal

To change your contact preference, request removal of a submission or profile, or ask about a school photograph, email outreach@mcgilvrapta.org. The PTA handles correction and removal requests directly.

Other school services

Links to membership, donations, surveys, official enrollment, enrichment and school systems take you to the organizations that provide those services. Their own privacy policies and terms apply. Existing school photographs and contact details come from previously published PTA material.
